Janosch Delcker is [[Politico]]’s Artificial Intelligence Correspondent based in Berlin, covering how the ascent of big data, machine learning and automation is changing politics and policy-making.
He joined [[Politico]] in 2015 as a political reporter and spent almost three years covering German politics before becoming AI correspondent in January 2018. Prior to that, Janosch worked as a staff reporter for SPIEGEL Online and DW (Deutsche Welle). Publications include Deutschlandradio, [[The New York Times]], Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung and [[The Intercept]]. Born and raised in Germany, he spent numerous years working in the United States, one of them as a Fulbright scholar. In 2015, he was awarded with the U.S. Foreign Press Association’s national award.
Janosch is a graduate of the mid-career M.A. program in political journalism at [[Columbia University]]’s Journalism School and holds another Master’s degree from New York University and a B.A. degree from Humboldt University of Berlin. He is also a graduate of the journalism fellowship (Volontariat) at DW, Germany’s international broadcaster.
