I still don't know exactly which games I'll be playing yet, but I'll let you know when I know!  # Segments ## Introduction Early on Monday morning, a young man named Ryan Carson [was stabbed to death](https://archive.ph/fdltR) on a Brooklyn sidewalk in front of his girlfriend by a deranged 18-year-old named Brian Dowling. I'm sure you have seen the video, from a camera at a close-by deli, and I'm not going to show it here. On Thursday morning, Dowling was arrested after police raided his apartment and found the knife and sweatshirt he was wearing during the murder inside. Shortly thereafter, [images of Dowling](http://archive.today/ofVsa) seated in the back of a police car with tears streaming down his face began circulating on social media.  The resulting rhetoric, as I'm sure you've seen, has been deeply polarized, with people on the "right" commenting on Carson's previous work with organizations such as the [New York Public Interest Research Group](https://www.wikiwand.com/en/New_York_Public_Interest_Research_Group) and [[Black Lives Matter]]. They also commented on the fact that Brian Dowling has a history of being mentally unstable and still being allowed to work at a local high school. Carson's girlfriend also apparently [didn't identify](https://archive.ph/V8Ic1) the person who did it, because she didn't want to racially profile him, before putting up a GoFundMe that would go towards her and her friends taking time off work. Some, but certainly not all, are of the mind that Ryan Carson and his girlfriend perpetuated the problem that led to his death.  ## Casual Calls This led to people like Twitter user 'Jestin' to call for the eradication of American Conservatism "through reeducation camps and forced labor." Archive: <http://archive.today/5NLTL>  Another Twitter user, [PineTreeRiots](https://twitter.com/pine_tree_riots), identified the user as Justin Daley and posted a [long thread](http://archive.today/0MXO5) on information about him, prompting Daley to delete both his Twitter and Instagram. "Meet theater kid justin daley, of decatur illinois, who wants to put you in a reeducation camp!" > [!grid|masonry] >  >  At the time he deleted his account, Jestin had nearly 36k followers on Twitter, but a [previously-archived](https://archive.ph/yWZww) version of his profile show he called himself a "Targeted Online Harassment watchdog." > [!grid|masonry] >  > >  An image from that archive confirms it's him.  ## Less-Casual Calls But it's not just theater kids with a sadistic streak, people like [[Jennifer Rubin]] have [previously expressed](https://archive.ph/B9ybg) a desire to "deprogram MAGA members."  And just yesterday, Christiane Amanpour [tweeted a video](http://archive.today/rU8A3) of a segment she did recently with [[Hillary Clinton]], in which she calls for a "formal deprogramming of the cult members" in the GOP.
