The bride comes from Southport, Conn. The Rev. Hubert McCann performed the Anglican ceremony in Holy Cross Church in Shipton‐on‐Cherwell, which is near Manor Studios, the bridegroom's property, Blenheim Palace, the traditional home of the Dukes of Marlborough near Woodstock in Oxfordshire, England. The bridegroom is the son of Edward James Branson, a London magistrate who presides over one of the city's busiest courts, and Mrs. Branson. His parents live in Shamley Green, Surrey, and also have a home on Minorca. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph H. Tomassi. Mr. Tomassi is director of international marketing and development for Libby, McNeill, Libby International, producers of canned and frozen foods. The bridegroom, who is 21, turned Manor House into a recording studio and hotel for some of England's most famous rock groups. He also heads Connaught Publications, Ltd., which twice a month puts out Today, a magazine popular with college students in Britain. Mr. Branson, who at 17 left Stowe School against the wishes of his father, is also head of Caroline Records and its subsidiary, Virgin Records, a chain of record shops in London, Glasgow, Liverpool, Leeds, Birmingham and Brighton. Proceeds of these enterprises helped him buy the Manor House, with 100 acres of parkland, for his studios and hotel. The bride, a student of architecture and design, is 20. She attended Concord (Mass.) Academy, Fairfield (Conn.) University, the Parsons School of Design in New York and the Arizona State School of Architecture.
